The Healing Power of Sound
Sacred sound has been used for centuries among all cultures and traditions to bring us into a state of harmony and balance, unite us on a higher plane, and help us Re-member our true self. From Tibetan and Gregorian chant to native drumming, Peruvian whistles, the Australian didgeridoo and Tuvan throat singing, sound can transport us on an amazing journey.
Crystal bowls, vocal toning and the Language of Light: our favorite tools!
Besides the great ancient sound practices, we can also enjoy the powerful harmonics of quartz crystal ‘singing’ bowls.
Next to our own voices, crystal bowls are some of the most powerful healing tools on the planet! Made of crushed quartz, they are melted to 4,000 degrees in a centrifugal mold. Some bowls are clear and some are frosted like the photo here. Other bowls are colored as they combine the healing properties of gemstones and minerals for a rich sonic landscape.

What the sound waves look like when a crystal bowl is played.
If anything is out of balance, healing sounds will help correct the imbalance. Rung with a mallet, the bowls emit very peaceful, resonant tones that release stress, tension, mind chatter, worry and a whole lot more. You can listen quietly, or tone along as you play for an even deeper experience. Some people like to lie down and get a 'sound bath' as another plays the bowl.
The bowls produce sine waves which penetrate deep into the cellular structure of the body. It's like getting an internal massage!

This is not so much about ‘the end of the world’ as some may see it, but rather, an incredible new beginning.
Outmoded systems are rapidly falling away. We say, let ‘em! Allow that new paradigm toemerge.
And as it does, we must remain centered. That’s where sound healing comes in!
